Affiliate Disclosure

The Safari Journal earns money through referral (affiliate) partnerships, in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides.

What that means for you

  • Links labeled "Plan my safari", "Plan this safari" or similar connect you with Safari.com, a specialist luxury safari company.
  • If you enquire through one of those links and later book and travel, Safari.com pays The Safari Journal a referral fee.
  • That fee doesn't increase your price. It is paid from Safari.com's margin.
  • We aren't a travel agent and don't take bookings or payments. Your contract, payments and travel arrangements are with the company you book with.

Our editorial independence

Partners don't review, approve or edit our guides. We recommend destinations, seasons and lodge tiers on merit, including cheaper options, and we say when a destination isn't a good fit. Read how we research.
